William Hill to operate sportsbook in Atlantic City

William Hill will operate its sports betting book at two new locations in the near future: at Monmouth Park when the track launches sports betting in June and at the new Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City when it opens later in June.
Monmouth Park is expected to open its sports book June 8, while Ocean Resort will see the start on June 28.
Both the moves require approval from the state Legislature approving regulatory legislation and Gov. Phil Murphy signing the bill. Senate President Stephen Sweeney, D-Gloucester, has said the Legislature will take its final decision by June 7.
“We are very excited to be a part of Ocean Resort Casino and to have a presence on the Atlantic City boardwalk,” said Joe Asher, the CEO of William Hill U.S. “We have had great success working with Ocean’s senior management in Las Vegas, and we are excited to have the chance to do so in Atlantic City at what will be the best sports book in town.”
William Hill will operate a 7500-square-foot sports book in the heart of Ocean’s gaming floor. The area will feature an integrated experience with a centre bar and will be surrounded by state-of-the-art video wall technology for viewing of sporting events and live InPlay betting odds.
While in the newly constructed $6 million gaming area and at the William Hill sports book, guests will be able to wager on diverse sports betting menu that includes football, basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer and tennis.
The sports book partnership also will provide New Jersey bettors access to William Hill’s innovative wagering technology, including its mobile and online sports book products.
“Ocean Resort Casino is thrilled to partner with William Hill, the best name in sports betting, to establish a truly unique sports betting experience in the center of our resort and in Atlantic City,” said Bruce Deifik, chairman of AC Ocean Walk, the company that owns Ocean Resort Casino. “From real-time betting to exclusive hospitality for major events, the sports book will be second-to-none.”
William Hill operates 107 race and sports books in Nevada.
