GLMS achieve agreement with Norwegian Gaming Authority
The Norwegian Gaming Authority and the Global Lottery Monitoring System (GLMS) have finally reached a mutual agreement yesterday.
They will be both sharing key information on irregular betting patterns and will be strengthening relations and cooperation when it comes to the overall fight against the phenomenon of competition manipulations. The Norwegian Gaming Authority is also leading the Norwegian National Platform, as per article 13 of the Council of Europe Convention on the Manipulation of Sport Competitions.
Henrik Nordal, Director of the Norwegian Gaming Authority commented: “The Norwegian Gaming Authority, also leading the work of the Norwegian National Platform, has been taking the problem of sport competitions manipulations very seriously. GLMS through its Member in Norway, Norsk Tipping, has been already contributing to enhance our efforts. We are delighted to now further strengthen relations and work together even more closely“.
GLMS President, Ludovico Calvi, added: “We have been cooperating with the Norwegian Regulatory Authority for some years now and we have had the opportunity to know them better through our Norwegian member, Norsk Tipping. We have always been impressed by their professional attitude and socially responsible approach and we are therefore thrilled to further strengthen our relations and enhance our joint work in the massive fight to safeguard the integrity of sports“.
