Casinos in Mississippi coast start functioning
According to a press release from the Mississippi Gaming Commission, the casinos is the Mississippi Coast, which were closed following the Tropical Storm Gordon, have been re-opened.
Guests have started flocking the casino floor again and placing bets. The casinos were closed after a specific order from the Gaming Commission, which issued the order as a precautionary measure due to the projected track of Tropical Storm Gordon.
However, during the closure guests were able to stay at hotels and inside the properties, but the gaming floors had to be closed. Eric Newton, the executive director of security at the Beau Rivage, told local media: “People had been in their rooms or in the restaurants and so there was some built up energy. They were excited to get going and so there was a good crowd waiting to get in and get started.”
