China witnesses rise in lottery sales in September
The Ministry of Finance has published official information about lottery sales in September in China. As per the report, Mainland lottery sales increased by 13.3 per cent year-on-year during last month’s operations.
According to the report, the total lottery sales touched €5.2 billion in September. The results were fuelled by sports lottery sales, which saw a 24.3 per cent increase to €3 billion. The country’s welfare lottery increased by 1.2 per cent during September and reached €2.2 billion.
The FIFA World Cup too helped the revenue rise, especially in June and July.
During August operations, sales of official lottery tickets increased by 13.1 per cent. Aggregate sales totalled €4.6 billion in August, whilst welfare lottery sales increased 10 per cent year-on-year to €2.31 billion and sports lottery sales increased 16.4 per cent to €2.33 billion.
