Sports betting regulations get approval in NY

College and professional sports betting could be offered at New York casinos as early as April.
The NY State Gaming Commission preliminarily approved the regulations for sports betting at the state’s four private casinos.
It will get finalised only after a 60-day public comment period. It would also apply to Indian operated casinos. Mobile betting won’t be allowed.
Automated ticket systems would also be allowed, but only within the lounges.
The Oneida Indian Nation announced its plan to offer sports betting in partnership with Caesars Entertainment.
