Don Best confirms data breach

The Office of the Vermont Attorney General released a customer notification from Scientific Games’ Don Best subsidiary last week intimating the public of a Consumer Data Breach that happened in October 2018.
The notification talks about “the unauthorized disclosure of some of your personal information,” and expresses the company’s deep regret of the incident.
The malware attack which took place from 12 October 2018 to 28 October 2018 reportedly came to light during Don Best’s integration with Scientific Games on 21 December 2018.
Don Best confirmed that personal details of customers including user names and passwords had been compromised but that credit card details had not.
The company assured that the malware had been removed and further steps had been taken to improve the security of the network.
