UK National Casino Forum to conduct UK Dealer Championships

The UK Dealer Championships, organised by the National Casino Forum (NCF), will conduct UK Dealer Championship at Genting International Casino on March 4. The competition will test the technical skill, game control and hospitality, in a high-pressure environment overseen by championship judges.
The eagerly anticipated all-day event will take place at the showpiece venue on Monday March 4th. There is no limit of croupiers per company.
The winner will get a prize money is £2,000, while the runner-up will receive a cash prize of £1,000. The third price will fetch £500. There will also be prizes for the Best Chipper, Pusher and Stacker and the dealer who demonstrates the best maths skills. The overall winner and first runner-up will represent the UK at the European Dealer Championship (EDC) in Tallinn, Estonia, from 29 April to 1 May 2019.
Tracy Damestani, CEO of the National Casino Forum, said: “We are delighted to be staging the UK Dealer Championships, which will showcase the talent we have in this country. Dealers need to combine mental agility, card skills and hospitality, which makes it a very theatrical event.
There are great career opportunities for croupiers and we hope the contest will highlight the fun and excitement a good dealer brings to the casino, encouraging more people to consider it as a career.”
Ian Barrett, Operations Director, Resorts World Birmingham, said: “This is undoubtedly one of the best events of the year in the Gaming Industry calendar and we are absolutely thrilled to be hosting the championship at Resorts World Birmingham. Everyone is looking forward to welcoming all those taking part and their supporters.”
The event is sponsored by Novomatic, Clarion Gaming, TCS John Huxley, Galaxy Gaming, Genting, Passport Technology and The Hippodrome.
The 2019 champion will follow in the footsteps of Caesars croupier Slawomir Workun, from The Sportsman Casino, who saw off stiff competition from 23 other finalists to claim last year’s UK Dealer of the Year title. He represented the UK at the European Dealer Championships in Montenegro, alongside the first runner-up, Shaun Kelly, from Les Ambassadeurs. The second runner-up was Will Gosnold, from the Hippodrome.
