Coljuegos introduce online tool to spot legal gambling venues in Colombia

Coljuegos launched an online map which enables the users to know whether a casino in any city or municipality is legal, as well as to access relevant information such as its name, address, corporate identification number, and even Coljuegos’ license expiration date.
According to Pérez Hidalgo, with Coljuegos‘ tool, citizens will only need to know a venue’s location in order to check whether it’s licensed, and therefore, contributes to the country’s health sector. Premises include casinos, bingo halls, betting shops with slot machines, roulette and poker tables, sportsbooks, and other retail shops whose main business is not gambling.
“We are plenty aware that, now-a-days, citizens make use of internet through their mobile phones as wells as GPS navigation systems and numerous multimedia apps that use geolocation. We decided to include this technology so as to contribute to responsible gambling, strategic corporate development and allow Colombians to place bets with licensed operators whose proceeds will finance the nation’s health sector,” Pérez Hidalgo assured.
