Denmark publishes plans for national esports strategy

To cultivate opportunities for Danish talent and businesses, the Danish government has published the plans for a national esports strategy.
The Ministry of Culture will be organising a dedicated esports panel to explore ways to promote esports as a force for good in the community and a driver of businesses growth, and help formulate a coherent national strategy.
“We must ensure a good framework for the sport. Esports experiencing fast-paced sporting and economic development, where Danish sportspeople are in the world elite. Large groups, especially boys have changed their leisure habits and patterns of socializing,” Danish Minister for Culture, Mette Bock said.
