GAN Welcomes Sports Gambling Legalisation in Illinois

GAN plc, the US based developer and supplier of enterprise-level B2B Internet gaming software, services and online gaming content, has welcomed the legalisation of sports gambling in Illinois. Illinois is the 13th State in the US to legalise sports wagering and the fifth to do so this year. Following the launch, 19.9% of the total US population will be able to engage in internet gambling.
The Illinois Senate voted 46-10 in favour of the Sports betting bill and send the bill to Governor Pritzker, who’s already confirmed he’ll sign it into law.
Following Pennsylvania, and its population of 12.82 million, Illinois is the second largest State to legalise internet sports gambling in the US, with a population of 12.74 million. GAN foresees the legalisation and anticipates its existing clients to extend their online GAN-supported operations into the State of Illinois in 2019.
