Huya Becomes Chinese Broadcast Partner of LCS and LEC
Huya has become the exclusive Chinese broadcast partner of LCS and LEC.
Huya is already the exclusive broadcast distribution partner in China for the LCK and the only platform showcasing all four major leagues in China. Huya also recently partnered with Team Liquid to broadcast its player livestreams from North America and Europe to viewers in China.
“After our most successful LEC season yet, we’re looking forward to offering fans more of the kind of innovation and entertainment that our European League is known for,” Alban Dechelotte, Head of Business Development and Sponsorships for EU Esports, Riot Games, said.
“Our partnership with Huya means that it’s even easier for fans worldwide to follow the LEC teams and pros that captivated them at the World Championships,” Alban Dechelotte added.
“The LCS is evolving faster than ever in 2020, and it’s the best time for fans in China and worldwide to tune in and see what North America has to offer in pro League of Legends. We’re excited about our new Monday Night League broadcast with weekly marquee matches and other upgrades for this year, and Huya is the ideal streaming partner to help us tell the dynamic LCS story in China,” Matthew Archambault, head of partnerships and business development, LCS, said.
“Huya has a large layout in China for the League of Legends e-sports market. In this year, Huya has garnered the exclusive broadcaster rights to LEC and LCS, and a 3-year exclusive broadcaster rights to LCK from 2020 to 2022. The agreement brought Huya and Riot Games into an unprecedented level of cooperation. We wish League of Legends fans could get the best viewing experience in Huya, the highly engaged and interactive game live streaming community, and look forward to more cooperation with Riot Games in the next few years,” Huya spokesperson said.
