Russia Sees 200% Salary Hike in Gambling Business
According to Sberbank of Russia, the gambling and lotteries industry has shown the biggest salary hike among all businesses in Russia in February and March. The sector’s average salary increased by more than 200% and the salary fund increased by 600%.
Sberbank compared the data from February 2 to March 22 of 2019 and 2020. In gambling, the growth of the salary fund and lotteries amounted to 619% year-to-year. The average salary in this sector increased by 205% and amounted to 111,809 rubles.
The number of employees increased by 136%. The main growth, about 70% of the wage fund, was provided by lottery operators.
