LVL and the Hertha BSC eSport academy launch season-long FIFA 21 community tournament to scout future esports superstars

LVL, the revolutionary new esports and gaming brand owned by Veritas Entertainment, announces an upcoming weekly FIFA tournament series, “La LVL Liga”.
Based out of LVL’s iconic Berlin venue, the tournament is the result of a partnership between LVL and Berlin’s biggest football club, Hertha Berlin, in order to serve local players and scout out future esports professionals.
La LVL Liga will take place every Saturday with entry open to all. Players can win weekly prizes, such as Hertha BSC and LVL merchandise, and score points across the season.
La LVL Liga will start on the 10th of October (following the release of FIFA 21) and will continue until the end of the current Bundesliga season in May 2021. At the end of the season, the 16 players with the highest overall points will enter a single-elimination Playoff bracket with a €2000 prize pool.
But an arguably even bigger prize awaits: all 16 players will be invited to a Hertha BSC bootcamp and scouting session. Any of them might then be signed to the Hertha BSC eSport academy to officially kick off their professional careers.
Dorian Gorr, Managing Director of Veritas Entertainment, said: “We’re thrilled to work together with Hertha BSC on La LVL Liga and love their natural focus on the Berlin region. Some lucky FIFA 21 players might have the shot of a lifetime with this format, launching their professional esports career and being discovered by one of the key players in FIFA esports. We can’t wait to greet Berlin’s best FIFA 21 players at LVL.”
Maurice Sonneveld, Head of Digital Media at Hertha BSC, said: “As a sports club in Berlin, we are focusing on developing esports talent from here in the capital. With our training program we have already made it possible for a few young, local gamers to make their way as professional esports players and to play for us in the virtual Bundesliga. Now we are excited about the next generation, and we are looking forward to finding and working with talent at the innovative esports venue LVL.”
La LVL Liga will be organised in full compliance with government guidance and regulations regarding COVID-19. LVL is currently enforcing a strict face covering policy and the highest hygiene standards, which can be viewed here.
