Leading outdoor clothing brand, Regatta Professional, will utilise its 100% recycled ‘Honestly Made’ collection to develop this new co-branded range with Veloce Racing
Veloce Racing and Regatta Professional, the outdoor clothing specialist, have today announced a new clothing range made from 100% recycled plastics. The clothing range will be targeted at all outdoor adventurers conscious of environmental sustainability issues.
The new range will be produced from Regatta Professional’s existing ‘Honestly Made’ collection which, since 2019, has used plastic bottles to create fully recycled fabric used across the whole range, so far saving a total of over three million bottles that would have otherwise gone to landfill.
This news follows the recent announcement that Regatta Professional will be Veloce Racing’s Official Clothing Supplier for the 2021 Extreme E season, equipping the racing drivers and wider team with kit to withstand the various conditions that will be met in the five extreme race locations.
Veloce Racing will encounter some of the most challenging conditions on earth during the inaugural season of Extreme E, making Regatta Professional the natural choice to be its Official Clothing Supplier. With this new range soon to be available via the Veloce and Regatta Professional websites, fans and general outdoor enthusiasts alike will be able to support their favourite Extreme E team whilst enjoying premium and sustainable outerwear.
Among the products that will be available for purchase are softshell jackets, thermal bodywarmers and insulated jackets for both men and women so there will be something for everyone and every weather condition. The Veloce range will be available for the public to purchase in the coming weeks.
Daniel Bailey, CEO, Veloce Racing, commented:
“We’ve loved working with Regatta Professional so far, and we were always aiming to expand our clothing partnership into a full range of Veloce apparel. The designs are stylish and practical and we are confident we have created a fantastic product range for an increasingly growing sustainability conscious audience.
“The environmental impact aspect is another part of this project that is very important to us. As one of the five key pillars of our organisation, sustainability is woven into everything we do so having the new Veloce range made entirely from 100% recycled materials is a fantastic way to tie this all together!
“We’re going to visit some really extreme locations this season so it’s vital we have the right equipment to deal with hot temperatures, rain, snow or anything else that is thrown at us!”
Anthony Haber, MD, Regatta Professional, added:
“It’s exciting to finally announce this project we’ve been working on with Veloce Racing. We are supplying the race team with kit to keep them warm and dry when they’re on-event, but now we can offer the public the chance to support their favourite Extreme E team too as well as offering something for a non-racing audience that are just looking for stylish, quality kit.
“We’re proud of our existing Honestly Made range and this further collaboration with Veloce with their sustainability credentials and focus, make it a very natural collaboration.”
