YGAM Appoints Dr Jane Rigbye as New Chief Executive
The Young Gamers and Gamblers Education Trust (YGAM) has appointed Dr Jane Rigbye as its new Chief Executive.
Dr Rigbye, a chartered psychologist and fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health, brings a wealth of experience to the role following fifteen years working in this professional field. This includes nine years working in several senior leadership roles at GambleAware including her most recent position as Prevention Director.
Dr Rigbye has previously worked in the NHS and has contributed to research addressing many aspects of public health in gaming and gambling, including work on educational resources and effective interventions. Alongside paid roles, Dr Rigbye has also held voluntary roles, including being a trustee of a children’s mental health charity overseeing communications and fundraising, and currently as a school governor with lead responsibility for safeguarding.

Her knowledge of the fields of harm prevention is exceptional and her achievements in this sector are outstanding. Dr Rigbye has the leadership qualities and vision to take YGAM to the next level. Prevention of gambling and gaming harm is more important than ever. I look forward to working collaboratively to deliver the impact that can be achieved through education,” Dr Jane Rigbye said.
Helen Martin will continue in her new role as Chief Operating Officer after taking on additional responsibilities during the recruitment process. Dr Rigbye will officially start her new role on Monday 17th January.
