BLAST and Fortnite team up for the entirety of the 2022 Fortnite Championship Series

BLAST has agreed to a year-long partnership with Fortnite to produce and deliver all FNCS events in 2022.
Following the success of last year’s FNCS All-Star Showdown and FNCS Grand Royale events, the year-long collaboration will see BLAST operate the entire FNCS Chapter 3 broadcast schedule during each Fortnite season. The partnership is BLAST’s biggest project since the creation of BLAST Premier in Counter-Strike.
BLAST has experience in delivering esports events and tournaments in a number of popular titles. The esports entertainment company creates premium esports experiences by ensuring fans are always at the heart of productions and broadcasts while utilising industry-leading technology.
The best Fortnite players from around the world will be competing at the FNCS Chapter 3 Season 1, where they will be vying for a share of $3,008,500 prize pool. The action begins on Thursday, 17th February. For further information and a breakdown on the prize pool and format head here.
Leo Matlock, MD for Development at BLAST, said: “We are delighted to be able to establish this year-long partnership with Fortnite. BLAST has been able to build trust and a fantastic working relationship with the Fortnite Competitive team to create incredible experiences for the community. We loved every minute of FNCS All-Star Showdown and FNCS Grand Royale and have amazing plans for FNCS Chapter 3, which kicks off with Season 1 on February 17th where we have a record amount of content for fans to enjoy alongside our world-class production as the best in the world battle it out for over $3M in prize pool.
“This kind of collaboration with publishers has become a huge area of growth and focus for BLAST as a business over the last 18 months. The fact that one of the world’s leading game titles has entrusted its 2022 competitive scene to us is testament to the world-class output we’ve created during this period, and we believe we’re just at the beginning of our journey.”
