The game industry expert J Moses joins GRID Esports as Strategic Advisor

J Moses, Take-Two Interactive Director, partners with GRID, the official gaming data platform. He will advise the company in its continued expansion with the goal of unlocking the value of data assets in gaming.
With 25 years of experience in the game industry, J Moses will support GRID in the introduction of the GRID Data Platform offering to the gaming sector after the company has successfully established its platform as the standard within the esports field. Additionally, Moses and GRID dedicate their efforts towards the education of Game Publishers on the potential of data assets and how the GRIDs platform can leverage said potential
J’s first-hand, invaluable expertise in game development and publishing, understanding of current game Publishers’ challenges, and expertise on data use in sports media and broadcasts will help GRID to tailor the platform functionality to the gaming industry needs. – says Moritz Maurer, GRID CEO. The early stages of our cooperation have already proven the strong alignment in values and vision, and I am happy that we can invite J on our quest to contribute to the data-driven future of esports and gaming.– Moritz adds.
The GRID Data Platform offers solutions enabling to capitalize on the potential of data for the purposes of storytelling, fan engagement, and integrity while unlocking the additional revenue streams for the partnered rights holders. GRID’s approach is unique in the industry. The platform exclusively handles official data assets and therefore recognizes the IP of the game publishers at the core of its business model. GRID is a leader in competitive gaming data with official data partnerships covering over 70 tournament organizers and game publishers including BLAST Premier, PGL, PUBG, and WePlay Esports.
Data is an asset. Over the years spent in gaming, entertainment, and sports, I have learned the incredible value that wisely managed, and properly utilized data can offer. Data has proven its power in traditional sports but I believe it can exceed these results in competitive gaming. The variety of touchpoints digital entertainment offers creates a massive opportunity, but not without its own challenges to overcome.- The GRID Data Platform is the only solution I have seen thus far that provides the necessary tools to seamlessly integrate, and what’s even more important to operate at scale. It is clearly visible that it has been created for the gaming industry. – says, J Moses. Currently, I focus predominantly on the confluence of games, sports, entertainment, and technology – GRID is a perfect partner to build an exciting future on the intersection of all of them. – Moses adds.
As one of the first joint initiatives, J Moses, GRID CEO Moritz Maurer, and GRID CTO Chris King will attend the upcoming GDC conference in San Francisco to deliver a talk – Gaming Data: Take Control of Your Data & IP To Unlock New Revenue Streams and Empower Your Community on Mar 24, 2022 11:30 PST.
