Alpine Presents New Edition of Alpine Esports Series
Alpine Esports has launched the second edition of the Alpine Esports Series Championship on Assetto Corsa Competizione. The championship is conducted by sim racing partner Race Clutch and powered by Binance, a blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency infrastructure provider and partner of Alpine Esports.
Over 1000 drivers participated in the inaugural event in 2021 and the number would be higher this year, as the prize range is bigger.
The qualifying round will start from April 4 and conclude on April 17, from which 30 fastest drivers will emerge to the next stage through the in-game Assetto Corsa Competizione time-trial attack. The second stage will feature six races in three rounds, which will be held from April to June.
All qualifiers should own Assetto Corsa Competizione game and the Gt4 pack DLC. In the qualifying stage, the fastest time-trial participant will instantly get $1,500 worth of Alpine Fan Tokens. Alpine Esports Series Championship Dates:
Round 1: 28th April (Race 1 & 2)
Round 2: 12th May (Race 3 & 4)
Round 3: 23rd June (Race 5 & 6)
The championship will be open to drivers across Europe and the UK only with all drivers competing on the Alpine A110 GT4.
Cedric Journel, VP Sales & Marketing, said:
“We see sim racing as being an evolution of sport with the real and virtual worlds offering a natural synergy that can’t be matched in any other esports or sports categories. Sim racing drivers have a natural driving ability and the realism the technology offers between the game Assetto Corsa Competizione and the rigs makes for compelling entertainment. We’re excited to bring the Alpine Esports Series back for a second year and to see the skills of the top drivers and I would like to thank all of our partners for helping to make this year’s offering even bigger.”
Wayne Tian, the Head of Binance Fan Token said:
“Alpine Esports Series aligns seamlessly with Binance Fan Token’s commitment to fostering an exciting new world where the virtual and real worlds meet. Our partnership extends beyond the physical F1 track and into the digital one as well – we want Alpine’s racers and fans to have access to unforgettable experiences, exclusive interactions with the team, and unique benefits that only our Binance Fan Tokens can truly provide. We are determined to help Alpine Esports take the event to the next level with our latest innovations and look forward to the exciting ride ahead!”
Valerio Piersanti, VP Licensing and Partnerships at Kunos Simulazioni, added: “We are very pleased to collaborate on the ambitious program Alpine is creating in esports. More collaborations will come in the future with this outstanding organization.”
