Code Coven partners with Facebook Gaming to launch Game Developer Program for second year

Code Coven, the first global award-winning game development accelerator for underrepresented talent, is partnering with Facebook Gaming for the second year in a row to empower novice game developers with structured guidance, mentorship, and financial support via stipends to create games from concept to completion in the Game Developer Program with Code Coven and Facebook Gaming.

Empower and support four teams to build mobile games that they are proud of.

Learn meaningful skills and strategies for game development with a focus on empathetic, ethical, and cooperative perspectives.

Develop a toolbox of resources, community, and professional network.

Develop know-how for navigating job applications, demoing, and speaking at conferences, starting their studios, or seeking funding for projects.

Be inspired to continue to be leaders and/or dedicated to bettering their communities and workplaces.

The Summer Program which launched last year enabled alumni to be hired by sponsor studios, self-publish their games, enter other incubator programs, or are currently negotiating deals with publishers.
Since the inception of Code Coven, the team has supported over 450 marginalised game developers from 35 countries.
