888sport sponsors Neil Callan
888sport is sponsoring Neil Callan, the two-time UK Champion Jockey runner-up, for the 2022 UK Flat season.
The partnership will see Callan, often referred to as the ‘Iron Man’, carry the firm’s logo on his riding attire as well as provide regular updates via a blog throughout the season. He will also write an 888sport-branded column for The Sun and appear on TalkSPORT2 where 888sport is the official betting partner.
The world-renowned rider, who currently has 12 Group 1 wins to his name and is just one Group victory away from claiming his 50th, will be a regular on racecourses up and down the country since first returning to the UK last summer.
The Irish jockey spent 10 years in Hong Kong where he won £37.1m in prize money from over 4,000 rides. He was also leading riding in Bahrain this winter.
In addition to Callan, former leading jockey Barry Geraghty is a brand ambassador for 888sport and will continue to represent the brand during the 2022/23 National Hunt season.
Neil Callan said: “I’m delighted to be partnering with a brand like 888sport for the 2022 season. I’ve really enjoyed my return to the UK and have built up some good relationships with a number of trainers.
“I’m looking forward to a very busy season ahead and hope I can provide 888sport’s customers with some good insights along the way.”
Kieran Spellman, VP Head of Sport at 888sport, said: “888sport is delighted to be sponsoring Neil. He enjoyed a hugely successful career in Hong Kong and we are really looking forward to working with him and supporting him on his return to take on the new generation of UK and Irish flat racing stars.”
