New Technologies and Other Trends Used on Online Gambling Market
As technologies develop at an unseen rate, they also find their place in our everyday lives. One of the industries that are most open to all the new improvements science brings upon us is the gambling industry. According to Danish gaming expert and Chief Editor at CasinoHex Danmark, which writes a lot about online casinos for Danish gamblers, Maja K. Lundborg, new casinos are showing a remarkable level of acceptance.
“Online gambling market is always looking for new ways to make their sites more unique, interesting and accessible. No wonder they tend to implement every novelty that appears on the market”, says Maja. To help us comprehend trends that will change the gaming environment once and for all, she shared a couple of them with us.
Virtual Reality As a New Type of Gaming
Virtual reality has been a hot topic in the gaming industry for quite a while, yet we still haven’t seen it implemented on a wider level. Lundborg contributes that to the fact such systems tend to be expensive for both the company and the end-user. Still, she says that sooner or later, it will find its use, especially in the domain of live casino gaming.
“These days you can only see the dealer and a bit of a background behind it. Soon, thanks to VR sets, you will be able to have a virtual walk across casino floors and poker rooms and enjoy all the little details you appreciate when visiting a brick-and-mortar casino”, predicts our expert.
She thinks the change will come at some point during the next decade, as many brands are already showing intention to implement this new feature as soon as possible. We keep our fingers crossed, we don’t wait for too long for it to hit the mainstream!
5G Network For Faster Mobile Gaming
Another important technological advancement is 5G. However, unlike VR, this one is pretty much available for all gamers, without a high price tag. The easiest way to describe it is as a special network, that allows safer, faster, and more reliable data transfer, with less interference than ever. If you ask Lundborg, mobile gamers will definitely benefit from it.
“Can you imagine mobile gaming without long loading times, bugs, buffering, and other things that make your eye twitch? Thanks to 5G networks, mobile gaming is seamless, efficient, and safer than ever”, claims Maja.
Even though she has high hopes for 5G technologies, Lundborg also understands some of its disadvantages. Our expert believes strong infrastructure is a must. With unreliable infrastructure, 5G simply can’t reach its full potential. Also, one has to have a device that can support that type of data transfer, meaning, only gamers with new phones will take full advantage of it.
Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence is the last, but not least, major technological advancement on our list. Maja K. Lundborg believes it will simply allow gaming platforms to become more customized, all according to customers’ needs.
“Imagine this! You are playing blackjack, and make a huge win. Next time you come, the casino immediately introduces you to similar games. Or in case things don’t work out, it simply removes all the games of a similar theme or genre, so you don’t get frustrated. And don’t let me begin with personalized offers”, she gets ecstatic and pretty optimistic.
Artificial intelligence will also set new standards in terms of customer service, availability of support, and overall adaptability of the interface. At the same time, companies will benefit from machine learning software that will help them prevent fraudulent activities, provide better service, predict future behavior, and that way even help fight gambling addiction.
