Playtech and IDVerse Partner to Scale Global Player Onboarding

Reading Time: 2 minutes
The online gaming software supplier to the gaming industry’s top operators, Playtech, has partnered with world-leading digital ID verification company IDVerse (previously known as OCR Labs Global) to scale player onboarding.
Operators are under growing pressure to improve players’ onboarding and verification and are seeking the most advanced technology to deliver full automation. By partnering with IDVerse, Playtech enables its customers’ integrated access to a solution that can remotely onboard players quickly anywhere in the world.
Operators can implement IDVerse’s Zero Bias AI™ tested technology within its platform, enabling customers to scale player onboarding while minimising fraud. They can now instantly verify new players from anywhere, on any smartphone, without any agent intervention and, as a result, reduce drop-off with near-instant results.
IDVerse’s fully automated solution verifies new players in seconds with just their face and smartphone in over 220 countries and territories for over 16,000 documents without the burden of human intervention. The technology uses generative AI to train deep neural network systems to protect against discrimination based on race, age and gender. It has achieved 99.99 per cent accuracy in independent lab testing.
Fiona Davies, Head of Gaming at IDVerse, added, “This partnership enables Playtech operators to utilise a cutting-edge ID verification (IDV) solution that eliminates the need for manual authentication of ID documents worldwide. This advancement not only streamlines operational processes but also enhances onboarding speed significantly. With the implementation of IDVerse’s technology, IDVerse’s solution automates verification procedures entirely, addressing the common challenge of slow and costly manual document reviews, frequently encountered by operators using older solutions.
Davies continued, ”Our document ID coverage is the most robust on the market today due to the proprietary way in which our neural networks review identity documents. This allows customers to scale into growing markets with one IDV supplier, facilitating flexibility to onboard players wherever they are and whenever they want to play.”
IDVerse’s technology has been successfully tested by NIST-accredited labs, iBeta and BixeLab, against recognised biometric international standards like TDIF, SOC 2 and ISO 27001 and Presentation Attack Detection (PAD). No other company in IDV has obtained a similar level of testing certifications, both in terms of the extensiveness of standards and actual test scoring performance.
