ParlayBay Appoints Paolo Gazzei as Chief Information Officer

Former Betgenius Estonia CEO and KONECT CTO brings vast industry experience to fast-growing sports betting game provider
Paolo Gazzei has joined innovative sports betting game provider ParlayBay as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO) as the brand continues to accelerate its global growth plans.
Gazzei arrives with an increased pipeline of prospects for ParlayBay following a recent deal to provide its leading cricket content to 96 .com, which has elevated its footprint in Asia.
Gazzei has been appointed to develop a deeper range of betting models and increase the number of games in the ParlayBay portfolio with a particular focus on in-play and micro betting opportunities.
The new CIO joins from sports betting game provider KONECT, where he spent three years as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Prior to that he was Head of Sportsbook Unit at SBTech, Head of Software Development and Projects at GoldBet and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Betgenius Estonia.
âWith so many ongoing developments at ParlayBay, now is a really exciting time to join the team as the company continues to grow rapidly around the world with its range of unique sports betting games,â Gazzei said. âThe popularity of micro betting is firmly on the rise and I am looking forward to using my experience in developing engaging sports betting games to help ParlayBay widen its net even further when it comes to products and partners.â
âSports betting is becoming more nuanced and enhanced in-play and micro betting are all about superior prediction models and the ecosystem that surrounds them,â the Executive Chairman for ParlayBay, Fredrik Elmqvist, said. âPaolo arrives with great experience in this field and knows how to build a strong delivery team, whether that be architecture, tech stack leadership or collaboration with other partners. We are thrilled to have Paolo onboard. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the role and I have no doubt that he will elevate our offering even further.â
