Svenska Spel Appoints Gustav Georgson to Lead Public Affairs
Gustav Georgson has been appointed as the new Head of Community Relations and Public Affairs at Svenska Spel. He most recently came from the Government Office, where he worked as a political expert at the Liberals’ coordination office.
Gustav Georgson has extensive experience of political work for the Liberals at local, regional and national level. Previously, he served as head of communications and deputy party secretary for the Liberals’ national organisation and then, among other things, acted as an advisor to the party leadership during the 2022 parliamentary election. Through his work as a political expert at the Government Office, Gustav Georgson has a deep understanding of the political processes and the importance of collaboration to achieve a positive community development.
“Five years after the reregulation of the gambling market, gambling for money is still the subject of much debate. With Gustav’s expertise in public affairs, we will continue to develop the relationship with Svenska Spel’s stakeholders. We must be a clear voice in the debate and contribute concrete views on the industry’s most important issues. Gustav will have a central role in this work,” Frank Hojem, Head of Communications and Sustainability at Svenska Spel, said.
“I have always had a positive opinion of Svenska Spel as an actor with an important role in society. I look forward to working together with my new colleagues to consolidate the position as a responsible role model in the gaming market,” Gustav Georgson said.
