A new online customer at Betfred has won a record-breaking jackpot landing a staggering £11,498,211.89 all just for a £1.50 stake.
The horse-racing fan opened a Betfred account and after a family night out decided to give the online casino a go.
It’s then he turned a £1.50 spin into £11,498,211.89 on the Mega Moolah progressive jackpot game.
This is the biggest jackpot Betfred have ever paid out in their 58-year history and the Betfred boss phoned the customer personally to congratulate the new multi-millionaire.
Betfred boss Fred Done,
 
“I had a good chat with our record winner and when I found out he was a Man United fan I invited him to be my special guest at a home game. He’s also a sensible chap and he’s going to invest some of his winnings into houses for his family, but not before going on a holiday of a lifetime. Winning big for small stakes is what we are all about and turning £1.50 into a Betfred record is just fantastic.”
Betfred’s newest multi-millionaire said,
 
“It’s still sinking in, but it was class of Fred to phone me. He told me to look after my cash and that is my plan. I’m looking forward to meeting Fred at a Manchester United home game. Hopefully, we will both celebrate if the reds win!”
The record winner added,
 
“I’ve been a horse-racing punter my whole life and hit the cross bar a few times with some of my accas but obviously never hit the jackpot like this. It was the missus idea that we gave the casino a go and we certainly got lucky! I love racing so I will still have a bet on the horses, but it will still be my normal small stakes.”
The record-breaking payout is more than twice of the previous biggest win at Betfred when in 2023 Michael Clark from Newcastle scooped £5.4 million.
