GameGraph to Build a Crypto Game Protocol on the Hedera Hashgraph Public Distributed Ledger
GameGraph drives player traffic and helps game developers reduce their development costs
GameGraph announced that they have selected the Hedera Hashgraph public distributed ledger platform upon which to build their decentralized game protocol. GameGraph is an open-source protocol which looks to solve some of the most critical problems for players and game developers and provides the opportunity to save and earn money.
One of the most longstanding problems facing gamers is that progress in one game does not transfer meaningfully to other games. Users may invest significant time and money in a small number of games, but nothing is transferable when they want to play something else. GameGraph will be a decentralized protocol that enables gamers to move from one game to another and keep their game experience.
GameGraph provides services and tools for game developers that help them to reduce development costs, get free traffic through player movement between games, collect revenue every time their in-game items are sold from one player to another, reach game audiences directly, and launch games without a multi-million-dollar budget.
The next-step of the project is development on a decentralized platform and GameGraph have selected the Hedera platform. Hedera will offer a public, distributed ledger that enables anyone to develop secure, fast, globally distributed applications quickly. Since GameGraph is an open global protocol for millions of gamers, the critical requirement for an infrastructure platform are its performance and ability to enable very high throughput.
“We believe Hedera hashgraph is the best fit because of Hedera’s innovative consensus mechanism which will provide high performance for our platform. In addition, game developers won’t pay for centralized server infrastructure, as all their game software will be placed and secured on Hedera’s distributed ledger,” said Igor Demchenko, CEO at GameGraph.
“Gaming is an ideal use case for Hedera’s technology, because of the need to support high-throughput, combined with the requirement that transactions be recorded ‘fairly’, in the order conducted within a game,” said Jordan Fried, VP of Global Business Development for Hedera. “GameGraph is solving a long-standing problem in the gaming industry, and we are pleased that they have decided to build their gaming protocol on top of Hedera.”
