Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia, an affiliate of The Cordish Companies, announced that GILBANE BUILDING COMPANY will serve as the General Contractor for the new $700 million project.

Located at 900 Packer Avenue between 10^th and Darien Streets, in the heart of the South Philadelphia Stadium District, Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia will transform the area into the first integrated sports, entertainment and casino resort destination in the region. The 1.5-million-square-foot facility will include 2,200 slots and electronic table games, more than 150 live action table games, an upscale 200+ boutique hotel, nationally-recognized restaurants and live entertainment venues, valet parking and an approximately 2,700 space parking garage.

Gilbane will lead construction efforts which involve total demolition of the existing Holiday Inn and adjacent buildings to make way for the new development. Gilbane is a global, family-owned company with over 145 years of experience, covering a diverse range of building across various industries. Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia will set a new standard for development in the City of Philadelphia and create significant economic opportunities for local residents and businesses. A Pre-Bid Contractor Information Session will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 10a.m.- Noon at Xfinity Live!, 1100 Pattison Avenue in the South Philadelphia Stadium District. The event is open to the contracting public and will include a project overview, bid package information, and the opportunity to meet one-on-one with the Estimating Team. Representatives from the Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) will also be available. Accel Entertainment Inc. has announced that it has completed the acquisition of 85% of the ownership interests of Toucan Gaming LLC and LSM Gaming LLC, two Louisiana-based route operators and owners of multiple licensed video poker establishments (collectively, “Toucan”), for approximately $40 million. The combined business will operate as Toucan Gaming throughout Louisiana and will be led by Stan Guidroz, an industry-leading gaming executive and current CEO of Toucan Gaming. Mr. Guidroz owns the remaining 15% of Toucan’s ownership interests and will lead the Accel team supporting Toucan’s continued growth.

INTRALOT S.A. has announced the undertaking of a new project between the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), the sole lottery operator for the Government of British Columbia in Canada, and INTRALOT, its US subsidiary, for the provision of an online lottery platform. The project also includes the digitalisation of the existing land-based network. The solution will be based on the Player X platform, part of the Lotos X ecosystem, and adds to the company’s overall partnership with BCLC, which has been extended until 2028.

BetMGM Poker has become the third US operator to offer multi-state online poker. The company has merged its player pools in Michigan and New Jersey.
