Tennessee betting legislation: Better Collective CEO Jesper Søgaard comments on the legalisation of online betting in Tennessee

“It is really interesting to see the approach by Tennessee to only open up for online and mobile betting. Tennessee is one of the few states to not actually have any bricks and mortar operations within its borders, so to see the state’s interest in opening up via the online option illustrates that more states could move towards legislation based on the results they are seeing from others, rather than relying on their own experience from land based establishments.
“We’ve been keeping a keen eye on Tennessee for quite some time, and are happy to see that they are regulating. It is no coincidence that we recently acquired the Nashville based Rotogrinders Network. Although Rotogrinders is able to operate on a national scale due to their operations within Daily Fantasy Sports, we are happy that we will be able to activate our affiliate network in its home state. We look forward to educating the sports bettors of Tennessee in how to navigate their new world of sports betting.”
