99.9% uptime sounds reliable, until you realise it means 8+ hours of downtime a year. For an iGaming operator, it is a business threat. One hour offline during a major promo can erase months of planning, budget, and player trust. Multiply that by eight.

Chairwoman of the Advisory Board for Bet.Works listed under Sports Betting Consultant on prestigious rankings of industry leaders

Las Vegas, Nevada: 30 October 2019 – Dr Laila Mintas, Chairwoman of the Advisory Board for Bet.WorksTM , a US-based iGaming and sportsbook platform provider, has been named as one of Sports Betting Journal’s Power Players.

Dr Mintas made the prestigious list under the category Sports Betting Consultant and was commended for her work during and after the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act was repealed, paving the way for legal sports betting in the USA.

This is what Sports Betting Journal had to say about its decision to include Dr Mintas among its Sports Betting Power Players, a list of the leading strategists, policy-shapers and dealmakers in the emerging US sports betting sector.

“As Deputy President of US operations for Sportradar at the time that PASPA fell, Mintas often was the first well-versed sports gambling expert that US league executives encountered, thanks to relationships the company built on the media and integrity monitoring sides.

“A lawyer by trade, she launched her advisory and tech investing business in December. She serves as Chairwoman of the Advisory Board of Vegas-based Bet.Works.”

Dr Mintas left her role as Deputy President of US operations for Sportradar in December 2018 and joined Bet.Works as Chairwoman of the Advisory Board in January this year. Since then she has played a key role in Bet.Works establishing itself as a leading technology provider in the sector.

Dr Laila Mintas, Chairwoman of the Advisory Board for Bet.Works, said: “It is a real honour to be included among Sports Business Journal’s Sports Betting Power Players for the work I have done prior to and after the repeal of PASPA.

“I have long believed that regulation is the best approach to sports betting in the USA and since the PASPA repeal have continued to work with industry stakeholders as the market rolls-out and mature as part of my position with Bet.Works.”

David Wang, CEO of Bet.Works, said: “I am thrilled to see Laila recognized for the incredible work she has done to help with the process of legalizing sports betting in the USA and for the position the industry is in today whereby more and more states are regulating the activity.

“She has also played a key role in helping Bet.Works establish itself as a leading casino and sports betting technology provider in the market and for that reason alone her position on Sports Business Journal’s Power Player rankings is truly deserved.”
