Can you increase your chance of winning at online bingo?
Online bingo is a popular game loved by many, some people play the game for entertainment with family and friends, and others want to win the prize.
Even though the probability of winning online bingo is 50/50, winning online bingo is not as impossible as it seems. Some strategies can be applied to increase your chance of winning online bingo.
Play only when players are few
Playing online bingo when there are fewer players means there’s a greater chance at winning. Online Bingo is loved by many players, therefore, targeting perfect time slots where players are few is an advantage. Bingo sites with few players mean you have fewer prizes but you also have less competition.
While targeting the game only when there are fewer players is an advantage, you have to be mindful of the fact that fewer players only mean lower prizes because bingo is a business, and fewer players mean low money to cover the costs.
The best time to target is in the evening because during late hours people tend not to be interested in playing bingo.
Another way to achieve this is by being very selective of the bingo sites. For example, avoid popular bingo sites, because the more popular the bingo site is, the more people are playing. Otherwise it will be hard to increase your chance of winning online bingo.
Use Tripett Theory
In order to win online bingo, you should apply Tripett’s theory. Statistician LHC Tripett suggests that to increase your chances of winning you have to choose cards with numbers that are close to an average. That means in a 70 ball game, choosing numbers that are close to 35 (which is an average) in a game that will take longer will help you win, because the longer you play the closer a median number will be drawn, and in a shorter game, pick numbers that are far away from an average.
Another theory is by market analyst and financial writer Joseph Granville, which suggests that to increases your chance of winning bingo, you have to pick cards that have both odd and even numbers as well as high and low numbers because all of your numbers will then be balanced.
Buy more cards for a single game
Buying more cards will better your chances of winning online bingo than a player with fewer cards. Online Bingo is a numbers game. Therefore, you need to buy multiple cards to increase your chances of winning the game but be sure that while you’re playing more cards for a single game you need to avoid getting carried away. Only spend money within your intended budget because, at the end of the day, online bingo is supposed to be a fun game to entertain yourself.
If you want to increase your chance of winning online bingo but can’t afford to spend more money on cards for a single game, the best alternative is to buy fewer cards but play more games. This is because staying in a game for longer period positions you in a better place for winning. As more numbers are being called it is more likely your balls will be drawn. But be aware that this strategy only works in a classic version of the wheel game.
When buying more cards as a first-time player, take advantage of the bonus offers because bingo sites usually offer newbies with free bonus on their first deposit, this can help you win.
Join Bingo sites Community
Joining bingo sites community will increase your chances of winning the game as you will be able to learn tips and tricks from experienced players, they can help you learn secrets to win.
Communities are created to help you avoid problems that players experienced in the past and lead you to win bingo quickly because you’ll be playing from people’s experiences.
Prepare and start early for the game.
To increase your chances of winning, you need to prepare and start as early as possible; this will only help you avoid missing important details and also help you from playing under pressure. While you start early, make sure you stay alert during the game. Avoid anything that may distract you from focusing throughout the game. In general, plan your snacks, drinks and anything you might need ahead of the time you start playing and take advantage of scheduled breaks. Also, pick days where you are less busy to avoid any unnecessary disturbance.
In conclusion
Bingo is a numbers game, it is possible to win online bingo and with the above points given, note that just like everything else, to increase your chances of winning bingo, it takes practice. Practice makes perfect and the best way to do that is by taking advantage of free offline bingo to learn about the basics. Test out sites that are free and learn from them before investing all of your money. This will help you determine which bingo games you enjoy the most. The most important thing is to remember online bingo is for enjoyment.

Kindred’s Share of Revenue from High-risk Players Shows Slight Increase
Kindred Group plc’s (Kindred) share of revenue from high-risk players showed a slight increase to 3.2% (Q4 2023 3.1%) in the first quarter of 2024. Compared to the first quarter of 2023, the high-risk revenue share decreased marginally. The percentage of detected customers who exhibited improved behaviour after interventions came in at 87.1% (compared to 87.4% in Q4 2023 and 83.0% in Q1 2023). This sustained trajectory in the improvement effect after interventions, observed over an extended period, serves as a testament to the strong dedication and collective efforts throughout the company. It reflects Kindred’s ongoing commitment to fostering positive change within the industry.
“We continue to see our share of revenue from high-risk players fluctuate quarter to quarter, and we are working closely with all teams across the company to support customers towards a more sustainable gambling experience. However, it is encouraging to see that our Journey towards Zero data has steadily decreased since 2020. A similar trend can be seen across the healthier gambling behaviour effect after interventions. This tells us two things: our work is paying off, but we need to continue to push ourselves to propel a sustainable progression,” Alexander Westrell, Director of Communications at Kindred Group, said.
“It was very encouraging to witness the open and transparent discussions at the Sustainable Gambling Conference in London on 20 March, where those with lived experience shared their important stories. Also, it is evident that technology is moving forward, and will provide greater opportunities to detect and intervene in the future. We hope to see more regulators engage with the industry and with experts to secure a more sustainable industry for everyone,” Alexander Westrell added.
