VIXIO GamblingCompliance announces the Global Regulatory Awards 2020 will be a virtual event, held on 29 October 2020

VIXIO GamblingCompliance announced that the fourth annual Global Regulatory Awards will be held virtually due to safety concerns that still surround COVID-19. The awards, which were originally due to take place on 22 April, will now take place as a live stream on 29 October, 2020.
Since their launch in 2016, the independently adjudicated awards have become the biggest of their kind, recognising and celebrating those who demonstrate excellence in responsible gambling, and growing in importance as the industry moves towards a stronger culture of compliance.
Frances Fenemore, Chief Marketing Officer said “The safety of our guests and staff remains our primary concern. Given the current global situation with coronavirus (COVID-19), we have made the decision to change the format of this year’s Global Regulatory Awards from a physical event to an online live stream, which will broadcast globally. This brings new opportunities, enabling us to open up the event to all those within our industry, providing an even bigger platform to reward those who show a commitment to responsible gambling”.
Headline sponsor, the lottery giant SAZKA Group, supports the decision and welcomes the opportunity to bring the event to a broader audience, while also reconfirming their commitment to the awards.
Radek Nemecek, Head of Investor Relations at SAZKA Group, said: “These prestigious awards are set to be one of the biggest gatherings of the world’s leading gaming organisations to celebrate those who are setting new standards in the field of responsible gambling. SAZKA Group is proud to be associated with an event that shares the same ethos as we do. We look forward to rewarding the winners for their hard work on 29 October”.
The shortlist will be announced ahead of the event on the 1st October, 2020.
