Racing Post Greyhound Bet expands race archive
ALL UK races broadcast on the SIS platform are now available to view via an expanded archive on the Racing Post Greyhound Bet website [greyhoundbet.racingpost.com].
The archive, which was the first of its kind in the UK, had previously been limited to races broadcast on RPGTV which currently shows 20 meetings weekly, but work to upgrade it was completed earlier this week and it is now live with the full SIS inventory from the past three months which will be updated on a rolling basis.
Conleth Byrne, Product Director at SIS, said: “We are delighted that Racing Post Greyhound Bet is launching an archive of SIS races on its website.
“With over 30 years’ experience of creating and distributing betting events for greyhound racing at SIS, we have been heavily involved in the production process of some fantastic greyhound races over the years across the UK.
“The opportunity to watch these races back is fantastic news for racetracks, trainers, owners and all those involved within the sport.”
Racing Post’s Jim Austin, the creator of Greyhound Bet. added: “It’s refreshing to be able to deliver some good news to the greyhound fraternity and we hope this enhanced archive service will be welcomed across the board.
“Wearing my punter’s hat, while the current service we have is invaluable, it can be frustrating when you can only research five of the greyhound’s last few runs in a race, you nail the ‘winner’ of the quintet, but the other one wins the race. Now, there can be no excuses!”
Greyhound TV’s chairman and chief executive Kevan Moretti said: “The launch of a full archive of SIS races is unprecedented and a fabulous tool for our viewers to use right across greyhound racing.”
The full SIS archive will also be available on a new SportyStuff.tv website due to be launched during 2022.
