Topgolf celebrates inclusion in PGA TOUR 2K23 videogame with UK launch activities
2K has announced that gamified golfing phenomenon, Topgolf, will be available as a mode in PGA TOUR 2K23, out 14th October. Gamers can use the mode to hone their skills with their MyPLAYER before stepping up to the tee on the PGA TOUR, with playable pros including Jon Rahm.
“The inclusion of Topgolf mode in PGA TOUR 2K23 is the next step to live up to this year’s claim: More Golf – More Game“ said Alfie Brody, Vice President of Global Marketing Strategy at PGA TOUR 2K. “Together we share the same mission: bring fun to the world of golf.”
Friends can compete against one another, playing as your MyPLAYER in the virtual Topgolf hangout, which replicates the unique, in-venue entertainment experience where the aim is to hit giant neon targets and try to register the highest score.
To mark Topgolf’s involvement, PGA TOUR 2K23 will be available to play in all Topgolf UK venues (Watford, Surrey and Chigwell) for one month from 13th October, with consoles to be stationed within each centre. This will be completely free for all customers to play, with Topgolf players having the chance to try their hand at the game.
Topgolf will be giving away copies of the game via competitions across Topgolf’s social media channels.
A launch party attended by a host of Topgolf VIPs will also be held at Topgolf Surrey during the week of the release in conjunction with Topgolf El Segundo in Los Angeles and Topgolf Dubai. The Topgolf mode in PGA TOUR 2K23 is modeled on the Las Vegas venue.
Topgolf spokesperson, Michael Angelides said: “We are incredibly proud and delighted that Topgolf will appear in the latest iteration of 2K’s PGA TOUR game. It’s been a long time in planning, and we’re thrilled to see it come to life.”
