OKTO bags three nominations for 2019 SBC Awards
Innovative fintech provider caps outstanding first year in gaming sector
OKTO Group, the financial technology provider specialising in digital payment and player engagement applications, has been shortlisted for three competitive categories at the prestigious SBC Awards.
The awards are among the sports betting and gaming industry’s top accolades, celebrating the best that operators and suppliers have to offer.
In the running to be crowned the industry’s leading Payment Solution of the Year, Mobile Payment of the Year and Payments Innovation of the Year, its suite of mobile-centric payment solutions designed for the betting and gaming environment are set to close their first year in the sector in style.
The winners will be announced at a highly anticipated ceremony at Battersea Evolution on December the 3rd, with over 700 guests expected to attend in what promises to be an evening packed full of entertainment.
OKTO’s shortlisted payment products are focused on harnessing the mobile-based payments revolution, while digitising betting processes to provide a seamless journey across multiple player channels. Building on the success of its digital banking, mobile payment and retail products in Europe, the Athens-based fintech firm is set to hit the ground running with its tailored gaming solutions, having recently appointed industry veteran Simon Dorsen to lead the charge.
With experience in directly operating an established network of 5,000 points of sale across multiple jurisdictions and processing transactions reaching up to €1 billion, the payment service provider is well positioned for continuing its first year of success.
Commenting on the nominations, Simon Dorsen, Director of Gaming at OKTO, said: “Being nominated for not only one but three awards is a fantastic achievement for us and a testament to OKTO’s unique proposition.
“We strongly believe that our innovative solutions deliver real value for the operators and it is rewarding to see our hard work in building a one-of-a-kind product recognised by our peers. We look forward to a wonderful evening to celebrate our industry’s accomplishments.”
