Casino software developer Playson has been nominated for Best Software Provider and Best New Slot for Solar Queen at the AskGamblers Awards 2020.
Voted for by players, the awards recognise companies who have delivered innovative slots over the last 12 months.
The supplier has made significant strategic moves over the last year and has greatly extended its global reach after signing numerous commercial deals and securing new licences.
Nominated for Best New Slot, Solar Queen is currently Playson’s top-performing game and has achieved the much sought-after goal of “stickiness” with leading operator partners. The title has broken records for the number of bets and players.

AGA’s Have a Game Plan Campaign Wins Responsible Gaming Award at American Gambling Awards
The American Gaming Association (AGA)’s Have a Game Plan. Bet Responsibly. campaign has won the 2022 “Responsible Gaming Award” at the 2022 edition of the American Gambling Awards. The awards are produced by player acquisition services provider Gambling.com Group.
“The American Gaming Association’s Have a Game Plan campaign has been one of the most widespread and successful responsible gaming initiatives in memory and is very deserving of receiving the Responsible Gaming award. The AGA continues to set the standard regarding legal, regulated gaming in the United States,” Charles Gillespie, CEO of Gambling.com Group, said.
“We are thrilled to receive this recognition from Gambling.com’s American Gambling Awards. This award reflects the collective commitment of the AGA and our campaign partners to responsibility and raising the bar on fan education with the growth of legal sports betting,” AGA Senior Vice President Casey Clark said.
The TIGA Games Industry Award Winners 2022 are revealed!
The great and the good of the games industry were celebrated at the TIGA Games Industry Awards 2022 last night at the historic Church House Westminster in London.
It was the first in-person awards for TIGA since the COVID-19 pandemic, with over 300 games industry VIPs attending to cheer the games, the studios, the universities and the vital service support companies that have excelled over the past year.
Supermassive Games picked up the prestigious Game of the Year award for The Quarry, with the game also winning Best Audio Design. The studio also snapped up a third award – Creativity in Games – for The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes.
ustwo Games stepped on stage twice, winning Best Small Studio, as well as Best Casual Game for Alba: A Wildlife Adventure.
Rebellion was named Best Large Studio, while Kwalee claimed the award for Best Publisher, and Sumo Group was awarded Outstanding Employer of the Year.
A new category – Commitment to CSR – was introduced for 2022, with PlayStation London Studio the first winner of this important award.
Two individuals were presented with awards during the evening. Karen McLoughlin, Group Director of HR at Sumo Group was presented with the Outstanding Leadership Award. Meanwhile, Dovetail Games’ CEO Jon Rissik was named Outstanding Individual of the Year.
