Latest News
Sandra Douglass Morgan has resigned as chairwoman and executive director of the Nevada Gaming Control Board. She has served as the board’s chair since January 2019. Gov. Steve Sisolak announced Sandra’s departure in a news release, noting that she is “resigning to pursue an exciting professional opportunity.”
Twin River Holdings is going to invest $90 million to upgrade Bally’s Atlantic City. The Company is in the process of buying the casino from Caesars Entertainment for $25 million in a transaction that is expected to close by the end of this year.
Australian sportsbook and fantasy sports operator PlayUp has secured $25 million through the completion of an oversubscribed capital placement. PlayUp said that it has secured the $25 million funding on terms related to a “non-renounceable entitlement offer” underwritten by Investorlink Securities AFS, which the company will use to launch its US wagering proposition.
Casino table games developer and distributor Galaxy Gaming has received a loan of $4m from Zions Bancorporation through the Nevada State Bank (NSB) and the Main Street Priority Loan Programme that was enacted as part of the US government’s CARES Act in March.
Casino Reopening
Great Canadian Gaming Corporation has announced that Casino Woodbine will be reopening at 10 am EST on 14 November 2020, as a result of the Ontario provincial government’s announcement allowing the reopening of certain businesses. The casino will be reopening with the significant and comprehensive health and safety protocols it introduced as part of its first reopening on September 28.
New Partnerships
WynnBET, the digital gaming division of Wynn Resorts, has entered into a multi-year national sports betting partnership with NASCAR to create and promote engaging sports betting experiences for racing fans in the US. Also, WynnBET is going to submit an application to become a legal gaming operator in the state of Virginia.
PXP Financial Inc., the US subsidiary of PXP Financial Ltd., has partnered with the US division of the global sportsbook operator Tipico. With this new partnership, PXP Financial Inc. has deployed a full-service gateway, offering multiple connections to different providers, and a full managed service including reconciliations and a risk monitoring service for Tipico.
Awards
Monkey Knife Fight (MKF) has won the EGR award for Fantasy Sports Operator. MKF received the award through EGR North America’s virtual award show, with Nic Sulsky, President, accepting the award on the company’s behalf.
Sportsbook operator PointsBet was recently honoured by eGaming Review (EGR) as the top sports betting operator, most socially responsible operator and US rising star, at the EGR North America Awards 2020.
NeoPollard Interactive LLC has congratulated the Michigan Lottery for its recognition as the Lottery Operator of the Year at the 2020 EGR North America Awards.
New Launching
William Hill US has launched its sportsbook app and website in Indiana. The William Hill Sportsbook App offers a seamless betting experience that is easy and quick to find, make and track one’s bets. The app is available for download on any Apple or Android device.
Acquisition
Stockholm-listed iGaming affiliate Acroud has signed a Letter of Intent to acquire a fast-growing company active on the US Sports Betting market for an initial consideration of approximately EUR 2.2m The acquisition would also be followed by a potential additional earn-out consideration that may be payable by Acroud to the sellers in an aggregate minimum amount of approximately EUR 2.2m.
Compliance
The Argentine Chamber of Deputies has approved the Budget for the year 2021, which raises taxes on online gaming from 2% to 5%. Now, the budget is pending full Senate approval.

Coolbet, owned by the technology provider Gan, has announced that it will be exiting the Ontario sports betting market in a few weeks. The operator will disable deposit options on 21 March and will close its gaming operations on 22 March. The site and mobile app will be completely removed by 3 April.
EGT Digital’s rich portfolio of innovative iGaming developments is ready to captivate the visitors of GAT Gaming & Technology Expo in Cartagena. The company will participate in the show together with EGT and will welcome its guests at stand A11.
Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel has announced the installation of exclusive world-premiere slot machines to its casino floor throughout the month of March. To celebrate, Yaamava’ Resort & Casino will host multiple ribbon-cutting events where guests will have the chance to win prizes, receive free play and more.
To promote the importance of safer play during Problem Gambling Awareness Month, FanDuel has announced a series of initiatives and donations to further support a culture of Responsible Gaming. FanDuel will donate $100,000 to the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) that will further support the NCPG’s Agility Grants programme, in partnership with the NFL Foundation.

Tipico Sportsbook announced its partnership with the Dayton Dragons, the high-A MiLB affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. To celebrate the spirit of Ohio fans, the sportsbook and MiLB team unveiled the newly named Tipico Centerfield Party Deck at Day Air Ballpark. Additionally, Tipico has been named the exclusive fireworks series sponsor this MiLB season and introduced a welcome offer for new Ohio users to receive two game tickets and a $20 team store e-gift card.
International Game Technology PLC (IGT) has announced that it has signed a multi-year agreement with Graton Resort & Casino in Rohnert Park, Calif. to enable cashless gaming via the award-winning Resort Wallet and IGTPay solutions.
Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming, alongside Quick Custom Intelligence (QCI), jointly announced the deployment of the QCI Enterprise Platform at its casino properties. The QCI Enterprise Platform aligns player development, marketing and gaming with powerful real-time operational tools developed for the gaming industry.
Pragmatic Play has entered into a new partnership with Dinastia. As per the deal, the provider’s entire catalogue is available on the operator’s platform. Dinastia users will now have access to Pragmatic Play’s renowned Slots, Live Casino and Virtual Sports offerings, further leveraging the provider’s presence in the Latin American market.
The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) announced a robust partnership with U.S. Integrity and SeventySix Capital Sports Advisory. This partnership will enable the PDC to accomplish one of their top initiatives for 2023 by expanding their presence in the U.S. regulated sports betting market.

Affinity Interactive (AI) announced that its affiliates have entered into a definitive agreement to sell Rail City Casino (Rail City) to affiliates of Truckee Gaming LLC (Truckee Gaming). The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
WynnBET, the online sports betting and casino app from the global leader in luxury hospitality, Wynn Resorts, announced that its online sports betting platform is live in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Players can download WynnBET on the Apple and Google Play Stores or register for an account at www.wynnbet.com/ma.
The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) announced that Tom Mungham, its current registrar and chief executive officer, has decided to retire from his current roles this fall. Tom will continue in these roles while the Board conducts its search for the agency’s next Registrar and CEO and will remain to support a smooth transition until that individual begins.
Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria and the State of California have entered into a Tribal-State gaming compact as announced by Governor Newsom’s office on March 9, 2023. This will replace the agreement signed in 2012. The new compact increases the number of authorised slot machines at Graton Resort & Casino from 3000 to 6000.
Tiidal Gaming Group announced that it and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Tiidal Gaming Holdings, have entered into a share sale and purchase agreement with Entain Holdings (UK) Limited, pursuant to which Tiidal Holdings will sell all of the shares of the Company’s operating subsidiary, Tiidal Gaming NZ Limited (Sportsflare), to Entain.
Partnerships
Betplay has extended its partnership with Colombian football’s governing body Dimayor for a further six years. For the past three years, as a sponsor of Dimayor, the operator has held the naming rights to the body’s competitions, including the First Division (Betplay League), Second Division (Betplay Tournament), Colombia Cup (Betplay Cup), Super League and Women’s League.
The United Soccer League (USL) and global sports marketing agency SPORTFIVE have reached a new, long-term, expansive partnership to help the league grow its business globally. Under the agreement, SPORTFIVE will continue to secure key international media distribution partnerships across television and digital platforms for USL’s professional leagues, including the USL Championship and USL League One men’s competitions and the USL’s new professional women’s competition, the USL Super League, which will launch in August 2024.
Playtech has announced a landmark strategic partnership with Hard Rock Digital (HRD). Under the partnership, HRD will license a range of the company’s proven technology solutions and iGaming content to deliver the authentic experience customers have come to expect across Hard Rock’s global ecosystem of entertainment, hospitality and bricks and mortar casinos.
Elray Resources announced it has signed up its first operator, Maxibet Technology N.V., and is in the process of finalising the operator’s blockchain casino under the brand name Maxibet, licensed in Curaçao and to be operated globally.
Rush Street Gaming and Rivers Casino announced a partnership with MSC Cruises that grants Rush Reward Members at all Rivers Casino locations an annual cruise benefit that applies to most of the company’s sailings worldwide.

New Partnerships
Kambi Group has signed a multi-channel sportsbook partnership with Potawatomi Casinos & Hotels. The multi-year agreement will see Potawatomi Casino Hotel open the first sportsbook in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which is set to become Kambi’s 22nd live US state, featuring 20 self-service kiosks along with additional kiosks at a second location, Carter Hotel & Casino, in northern Wisconsin.
Exacta Systems has announced the launch of Everi’s first Historical Horse Racing (HHR) games at Boston Billiards Club & Casino in Nashua, New Hampshire. The featured games from Everi Holdings include player-popular Patriot Extra Spin, Triple Jackpot Gems Deluxe, Wild Gems Extra Spin and Blazin’ Gems Deluxe, which are available now on Exacta Connect.
International Game Technology (IGT) and Ruby Seven Studios announced an agreement that will expand Ruby Seven’s extensive content library to include some of IGT’s most popular games across Ruby Seven’s suite of social casino applications.
Pragmatic Play has grown its presence in the Brazilian market after partnering with XSA Sports. This new deal grants access to the provider’s complete Slots portfolio. New Appointments
Genius Sports Limited has appointed Kenneth J. Kay as an independent director of the Board and Michael Messara as an independent observer of the Board.
Everi Holdings announced that the Company’s Board of Directors has appointed Debra Nutton to the Board with a start date of April 1. Ms. Nutton, whom the Board has determined satisfies the criteria as an independent director for the purposes of New York Stock Exchange rules, was also appointed to serve as a member of the Board’s Audit Committee, Nominating and Governance Committee and Compensation Committee.
