Online streaming platform Twitch has become the go-to website for streamers of all things gaming with video games, poker and even casino games like slots particularly popular.

In fact, the platform is home to hundreds of online casino players who live stream their gameplay and share their methods and favourite games with their followers.

And with over 250 billion minutes of video consumed in 2021 to date and an average of 15 million daily viewers, it’s little wonder that the platform is an attractive option for savvy marketers looking to promote their brands and products. As a result, many of these streamers are partnered with Twitch itself or a specific online casino brand or casino affiliate.

A new study of the slots category on newcasinosites.co has revealed that two new records were set in the slot category.

  • 21,953,615 hours of slots were watched on Twitch in April 2021 — a jump of 18.8% on the same period last year and a new monthly record since the category was created back in December 2018.
  • There was a new record for the number of hours streamed in the slots category which clocked in at 120,067 hours.
