Grow uP and Casa Pia A.C. sign agreement for the Development of Virtual Football

Grow uP has signed a partnership protocol with Casa Pia A.C. for the management of the virtual football division of the centennial Lisbon club. The agreement includes planning, structuring, management, and development of the discipline in the competitive scenario of EA FC. Under the protocol, Grow uP will carry out social projects at the Education and Development Centers of the Casa Pia de Lisboa Institute with the goal of using video games as a tool for integration, inclusion, and diversity.
“We are immensely pleased to join forces with Casa Pia AC, a historical institution that shares the same values as Grow uP regarding the inclusion of young people in society. In addition to the goal of dominating the virtual football scene in EA FC with Casa Pia A.C., this protocol represents a significant milestone for our Association, reinforcing our mission to use video games as a vehicle to promote integration, inclusion, and diversity, and a reflection of our commitment to go beyond sporting success, embracing social responsibility to transform lives through video games,” assures Telmo Silva, CEO of Grow uP.
“This is a significant milestone for us; this partnership means much more than an Esports team. It aligns with what we aspire to achieve for the project, that is, being closer to young people, providing them with conditions to feel integrated and happy with video games. We also want to replicate what Grow uP has already done by creating an academy for young athletes who see Esports as a form of inclusion,” emphasizes Tiago Gouveia, Marketing and Sponsorships Manager at Casa Pia A.C.
The Grow uP Arena space in Sintra, the Association’s performance and training center, will be the home of the Casa Pia A.C. team that will compete in the eLiga, the main EA FC competition in the Liga Portugal, and competitions promoted by the Portuguese Professional Football Federation.
