Street Fighter 6 event will join Esports World Cup 2024

The Esports World Cup is building up to be one of the biggest competitive gaming events of the year. Its grown significantly this year, with more and more titles getting added. The Saudi ran event will be adding the biggest fighting game of the last year to the roster this time too, as a Esports World Cup 2024 Street Fighter 6 tournament has been announced.
The Esports World Cup line up already boasts most of the major games you think of when you imagine esports. Although, its roster has been a little lacking in diversity for genres outside of MOBAs and shooters. Street Fighter 6 will be one of the games fixing this. This will be the fighting game representation at the event.
If you’re picking one fighter to use in 2024, out of all the biggest fighting games, it would probably have to be Street Fighter 6. The game commands the most attention competitively and has pushed the entire community to a much bigger place. It’s great to see that acknowledged with the Esports World Cup 2024 Street Fighter 6 tournament.
Esports World Cup Street Fighter 6 Tournament Announced
This new event has been announced as part of the Esports World Cup 2024 line-up Organizers have been gradually unveiling the EWC games. Although, it likely won’t be the only fighting game included. The title is new to the World Cup, but it has featured at a Gamers8 event in the past.
This new tournament is a bit light on details right now. We don’t know too much about the prize pool. However, we can expect some of the best Street Fighter 6 players to show up.  At least if the teaser image if anything go by. While there’s tons of tournaments and competitions on yearly now, this event should carry the prestige to get some big names involved.
At the moment, this is the only fighter announced as part of the Esports World Cup 2024 Since the event has featured Tekken in the past though, we can probably expect at least that title to join the line-up in the future. Maybe we’ll see some more niche fighting games represented too!
