Sycuan Casino details expansion process

Operators of Sycuan Casino, in the US, will expand the venue and add further job positions by 2019.
As operators of Californian Sycuan Casino revealed a major expansion during this year, the company has confirmed that they will be hiring over 700 residents for the hotel and resort project. The revamped casino and hotel is expected to be opened by 2019.
“We are pleased to bring more than 700 new jobs to the San Diego community,†said John Dinius, General Manager. “We are committed to cultivating a thriving and positive work environment and are eager to bring on new talent that will contribute to the organization’s continued success.â€
Sycuan Casino announced last year that a new 300-room hotel will be built next to the existing casino. The US$226 million expansion, which will be held throughout this year, was presented ten years ago but it was later halted due to the economy.
With this new project the casino will also expand its gambling offering and feature 2,800 machines – 800 more than the current ones – and 38 more gaming tables. “Some players will assume we’re tightening up the slots to pay for this, and we want to get in front of them about this misconception. So we want to let them know we’ve positioned ourselves to afford this,†said John Dinius, General Manager of the Sycuan Casino.
