Malta Gaming Authority to Support iGaming Idol

iGaming Idol announces that they are to double the support from sponsorships in 2018
February 2, 2018 (Press Release): The Malta Gaming Authority has announced that it will be a major supporter for the 2018 edition of iGaming Idol, the competition that recognises top talent in the iGaming industry across the Maltese islands.
The MGA, which has supported the event since its launch in 2016, is the single independent, regulatory body responsible for the governance of all gaming activities in Malta, both online and land-based.
Confirming the sponsorship, MGA Executive Chairman Joseph Cuschieri said: “iGaming Idol is an innovative event that recognises talent and promotes the welfare of employees in the iGaming sector. After doubling the attendance of last year’s event, we look forward to supporting iGaming Idol in its third edition in September 2018.â€
Echoing that sentiment, iGaming Idol CEO Michael Pedersen said: “The MGA has chosen to support iGaming Idol for the third edition. This is an honour as well as a testimonial in itself that the Malta Gaming Authority has yet again agreed to support iGaming Idol.â€
Speaking about the upcoming edition, Mr Pedersen explained that the categories will be refined once again, and that a number of surprises are planned. iGaming Idol will also be investing in education and promotion throughout the year, thus expanding the competition’s reach among the wider public.
Beyond that, iGaming Idol will also promote its Employer of the Year survey, which seeks to find Malta’s best employer within the iGaming Sector. The survey, which will feature for the second time, is carried out by Business Leaders and covers a wide berth of topics and assesses everything that affects iGaming employees welfare, from their company’s environment, facilities, conditions of work to the training that is provided.
Mr Pedersen noted that amongst others, the ‘Employer of the Year’ Award was a major success last year and, already, a number of top companies are looking forward to coming on board. He also announced that the organisers have already matched last year’s sponsorship quota and are looking to double it in 2018.
“In 2018 we plan on consolidating the event and improving it across all aspects. The support off the back of last year’s success has been phenomenal with several sponsors already signing up again and new requests coming in on a daily basis,†Mr. Pedersen concluded.
The event is already set to be held at the Grand Masters Suite, Hilton Malta, in St. Julian’s on the 28th September 2018.
