Microgaming Poker Network to Launch “Cash Mountain” Promotion

The Microgaming Poker Network (MPN) has announced the launch of “Cash Mountain,” the new summer promotion providing cash game players a chance to win some juicy rewards.

“Building upon the success of our last cash game leaderboard, we are delighted to launch Cash Mountain, a new promotion designed to reward cash game players. We look forward to the promotion kicking off in August,” Alex Scott, MD of Poker at Microgaming said.

The Cash Mountain promotion will consist of three cash game leaderboards on 12-16 August, 19-23 August and 26-30 August. The players finishing in the top five spots on each leaderboard will be able to choose between one of the following three prizes: €750 in cash, a €1500 live events package or a €1550 online tournament tickets package.

Players looking to climb to the top of the Cash Mountain leaderboards must play a minimum of 2500 hands at stakes €0.05/€0.10 or above during each leaderboard phase. Leaderboard points will be awarded for big blind increments won at each eligible stake level. Players who play 100 hands or more at stakes €0.05/€0.10 or above and score negative points on any day will be entered into the Daily Run Bad Flip Freeroll the following day at 8 pm, which awards the top 10 players €50 each.

Scientific Games Partners with Abacus Solutions

Scientific Games Corporation has partnered with Abacus Solutions International Group to develop a platform for shoppers to purchase lottery draw and instant games in retail checkout lanes.

Abacus, which has a significant penetration in supermarkets and big box stores, is a lottery technology partner that securely connects lottery systems technology directly through a retailer’s point-of-sale technology.

“Our research shows that in grocery stores in particular, only 5% of shoppers visit the area of the store where the lottery terminal is located and games can be purchased,” Simon Butler, CEO of Abacus, said.

The integration with the third-party solution from Abacus using their unique Fusion Platform will enable secure, in-lane lottery sales through Scientific Games’ new SCiQ retail technology system and AEGIS lottery draw game systems technology, allowing shoppers to purchase instant and draw games at the checkout.

“This partnership with Abacus is another example of Scientific Games’ commitment to invest in new retail innovation that opens opportunities for lotteries to bring products conveniently to players where they are. Our vision for retail innovation includes third-party, secure technology integrations that support lottery revenues with the most advanced technology possible,” Randall Lex, VP Lottery Retail Solutions for Scientific Games, said.

“The Abacus technology enables draw-based lottery tickets and instant games to be purchased at any retail point-of sale-terminal, and dramatically increases valuable lottery terminal foot-print in stores at a minimal cost. Our partnership with Scientific Games is a significant and exciting step forward, enabling Abacus technology with our retail partners to offer huge growth opportunities for lotteries and their beneficiaries,” Butler said.

Gaming content developer 1X2 Network has extended its partnership with platform provider Digitain. As per the deal, Digitain will gain access to additional third-party game studios via 1X2 Network’s 3PI aggregation platform.

The 3PI game aggregation platform provides online gambling operators with seamless access to innovative and exciting developers whose titles can help them stand out from their rivals.

“We are delighted to have extended our already successful partnership with Digitain and to provide them with access to hundreds more titles with the click of a button. 3PI provides variety and quality whilst maintaining 1X2’s rich tradition of fantastic service and account management, and with the ability to add the likes Leap Gaming virtual sports games at this time really can be of benefit to Digitains customers while there is a lack of sports on offer,” Kevin Reid, CCO of 1X2 Network, said.
