After the most competitive battles among top teams of the country, Total Gaming inched to the top with 86 points and was crowned the Ultimate Champion of this league. Chemin Esports emerged as the 1st runner-up with 76 points and UG Empire bagged 2nd runner-up with 66 points. The ‘Man of the Match’ title was won by Delete, a member of the Total Gaming team. The winners won the most advanced HP VR Headsets, Gaming Class 24’ Monitor, Gaming Class Headsets and Gaming Laptop which were part of the INR 4,00,000 prize pool.
In a bid to make this tournament more competitive, Microgravity had invited top teams from the country to be a part of the Qualifiers, Semi-Finals, and Finals. Teams like OG Elite, Helping Gamer, Desi Gamer, Bliss Mates, DDG Gamers, MG More, Life Hacker, King X Esports, Blind Esports among others took part in this league. The MGL Free Fire Battle Royale matches were conducted in Bermuda, Purgatory, and Kalahari maps.
Talking about the 5th Editon of MGL Free Fire Battle Royale, Tanveer Singh Bakshi, Head-Business Development, Microgravity said, “I would like to thank all the participants, the amazing audience, the casters, our gaming partners – HP, Intel, Platinum Esports team, media partners – Consocia Advisory & Sociowash for making this a huge success. Since the beginning of this league, we saw some mind-blowing matches among the teams, underdog team like Bliss Mates rising up the ladder and Total Gaming sweeping the winning title with their amazing gameplay. I would also like to congratulate Chemin Esports and UG Empire for bagging the 1st & 2nd runner-up respectively. We will aim to bring more titles and leagues in the future to bring the gaming community closer.”
“We are also excited to inform you that Microgravity will soon introduce an E-commerce platform which will have gaming-related equipment which will go live next year. We will also be launching more World-Class gaming hubs across the country, added Bakshi.
Commenting on the win, Mafia Bala from Total Gaming said, “The initial two battles went really well with our team scoring above 45 points. During the 3rd & 4th match, our points decreased a bit, that is when we changed our strategy to go aggressive in the 5th round in the Kalahari map. The outcome of the 5th match was really good which helped us to inch very close to the win. Overall, it was really encouraging to see such a unique prize pool. A lot of good gamers belong from a humble background and tournaments like MGL give them a platform to win the best which technology has to offer.”
This year, Microgravity has successfully organized two online gaming tournaments which gained significant traction amongst gamers. These tournaments were the MGL FIFA 21 tournament and the MGL Call of Duty: Mobile tournament.
