Neccton nets top prize at The Casino Awards 2022

Market-leading responsible gambling software provider scoops ‘Best Player Protection Product or System’ at top industry awards event
Neccton has won the Best Player Protection Product or System award for its mentor software at The Casino Awards 2022, held on April 12th at the Tower Hotel, London. The award was judged by an independent panel of industry experts, with mentor beating some tough competition for the win.
Neccton director and head of development Dr Michael Auer attended the event and collected the award. He said: “This is our first-ever award and it’s great to be recognised by the industry at such a prestigious event. We have a busy year planned with some major developments, so let’s hope this is the first of many!”
mentor’s co-developer, Distinguished Professor of Behavioural Addiction at Nottingham Trent University Mark Griffiths, was also recognised by Dr Auer after the event. “The whole idea for mentor came from a discussion Mark and I had back in 2008, and we have come a long way since then to lead the market in player-focussed responsible gambling solutions.”
Professor Griffiths said “The research that Michael and I have been doing together for more than a decade underpinned the development of mentor and it’s always good to see our research being applied to help in the area of player protection and harm minimization.”
Neccton’s distinguished customers also lauded praise onto the company after the win, with Greentube’s head of UK compliance Adam Mason saying: “Mentor is the cornerstone of our Safer Gambling activity. The customer messaging, behavioural tracking, user-friendly data summary, incident management and risk assessment functionality enable us to offer our customers the safest possible environment to play.”
Neccton’s customer roster includes many of Europe’s leading online operators, including STS, Casumo, CEGO, Play North, PlayOJO, and leading lottery operators like Lotto NZ and Canada’s Atlantic Lottery.
Neccton’s mentor is a ground-breaking player behaviour analysis tool which alerts the operator and can contact players who display critical behaviour directly. For example, players are informed when their deposit frequency is increasing significantly, and helps customers make better informed decisions about their play with individualised feedback.
The Casino Awards was attended by senior management, board members and owners of many of Europe’s top casinos, including Casinos Austria, Holland Casinos, Société des Bains de Mer, Partouche, Grosvenor, Les Ambassadeurs, Aspers, The Hippodrome, and many more.
