MyMetaverse and Enjin Bring Polkadot’s First Playable NFTs to GTA 5 and Other Gaming Servers

The first in-game NFTs have been minted on Efinity with the launch of the MetaHome NFT collection, immediately usable in MyMetaverse’s full suite of games. MyMetaverse, a game development company specialising in creator-led metaverses with play-and-earn economies, ensured that on launch, the NFTs perform different functions in three different games.

The MetaHome NFTs offer unique gameplay utility in every world they’re recognised. In Infinity Auto, a MyMetaverse Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 5 server, they take the form of a rare vehicle; in Survival Infinity, a MyMetaverse Minecraft server, they become a special sword.

MyMetaverse is one of the ecosystem partners to be granted early access to make NFTs available on Efinity, with a range of projects waiting to be onboarded over the coming weeks. Enjin, the leading ecosystem for integrating NFTs into virtual worlds, is helping build Efinity, a parachain built on Polkadot and designed to enable fast and affordable NFT transactions. The launch of NFTs on Efinity, a scalable, decentralised, cross-chain network designed to bring NFTs to everyone, is a significant milestone for Enjin and the next generation of blockchains built on Polkadot.

“We believe the most valuable NFTs will be those that have the greatest impact on people’s everyday experiences. With utility in three separate games, the MetaHome collection is an exploration of blockchain-enabled, cross-game interoperability. Thanks to Enjin’s toolkit, it is now the first playable NFT within the Polkadot ecosystem,” Simon Kertonegoro, CEO and founder of MyMetaverse, said.

In addition to the GTA 5 and Minecraft servers, the MetaHome collection is already functional in other MyMetaverse titles, including the massively multiplayer online (MMO) game Infinity Realms. MyMetaverse leverages Enjin’s Open Platform to integrate the MetaHome NFT collection across its gaming servers.

SuperGaming and Google Cloud Collaborate to Empower Game Developers with a SuperPlatform

Leading Indian game developer SuperGaming has chosen Google
Cloud to bring its best-in-class live-ops engine, SuperPlatform, to game developers the world
over. This will empower game developers to make better games with battle-tested cloud
infrastructure that currently powers all of SuperGaming’s efforts. This includes PAC-MAN, which
has more than one billion downloads across all storefronts, and its multiplayer shooter
MaskGun, which has more than 65 million players.

SuperPlatform will run on Google Cloud and will enable game developers to manage live ops,
matchmaking, player progression, player data, analytics, monetization systems, server scaling,
sales, and merchandising. It also integrates with popular game development platforms.

“The SuperPlatform is at the core of what makes our games tick,” says Roby John, CEO and
co-founder, SuperGaming. “It’s been made by game developers, for game developers, and after
years of iteration, finesse, and supporting some marquee games like PAC-MAN, we felt it’s the
right time to share it with more game developers. Google Cloud’s reach, technical expertise, and

SuperPlatform is a SaaS (software as a service) and will be an ISV (independent software
vendor) running on Google Cloud, which provides secure, scalable, and sustainable
infrastructure that will enable more game developers to access SuperPlatform at scale.

In addition to this, upcoming SuperGaming titles such as Indo-Futuristic battle royale, Indus and
Tower Conquest Metaverse Edition will also run on Google Cloud.
