Fitzdares Appoints New Group Chief Operating Officer, Nick Dutton

Hire further strengthens leadership team of the world’s finest bookmaker
Premium UK bookmaker Fitzdares has today announced the hire of its new Group Chief Operating Officer.
With 36 years’ experience in IT and technology roles largely within the gaming sector, Nick Dutton (pictured) joins Fitzdares with immediate effect where he will oversee technological improvements that will drive brand growth and provide an unrivalled user experience for all Fitzdares members.
Dutton will be a key leadership team member, joining from Sporting Group where as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) he played a significant role in key mergers, IT operations, product development and quality assurance.
Prior to this, Dutton boasts over three decades of experience working in a variety of C-suite roles for major organisations including FDJ Gaming Solutions, Ladbrokes Coral and gaming solutions provider Laverock Von Schoultz. In a pivotal role, he spearheaded the implementation of cutting-edge solutions and transformative structures, catalysing a remarkable surge in growth, profitability and overall product usability across the entire spectrum.
In his new post, Dutton will take on board responsibility for information technology, product, people and trading.
Dutton’s acquisition is a proud moment for Fitzdares and he will be a key player in the brand’s quest to provide a sporting experience like no other. This comes following a highly-successful calendar year that saw the bookmaker extend its partnership with Premier League outfit Fulham FC with the launch of a new luxury members club and collaborate with Quantum Leap Solutions to launch The Racing App, the finest app in racing.
“We are over the moon to beef up our senior team with a highly experienced operator like Nick,” the Chief Executive Officer for Fitzdares, Will Woodhams, said. “He brings over 35 years of experience in the sector to our United Kingdom and international operations and will help make sure Fitzdares moves into our next 100 years with top-tier technology and services that will continue to offer a sporting experience like no other to our customers.
“Nick will also help to improve our non-racing products as we explore new opportunities towards achieving double-digit year-on-year business growth. He will be part of a rebuffed senior executive team alongside another recent recruit in Martin Semler, our new Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), who is based in our Toronto office.”
“Fitzdares is an industry trailblazer with an unrivalled blend of cutting-edge technology, a truly personal feel for its customers and bold ambitions,” Dutton said. “The gaming industry is one of the most competitive out there and Fitzdares offers something unique to its members that sets them apart. I’m excited to help build on this and ensure Fitzdares leads the pack when it comes to technology, service and customer experience.”
