GlobalCheck launches revolutionary new ID verification as UK affordability checks go live

GlobalCheck has launched a game-changing new identification verification service designed to seamlessly support operators with the recently introduced UK affordability checks.
The UKGC affordability check pilot went live on August 30, and will require checks on players losing more than £500 per month. That figure is set to drop to £150 per month from February next year.
In response, GlobalCheck has rolled out a first-of-its-kind solution that allows operators to conduct thorough, non-intrusive checks without the need for bank statement checks and open banking.
GlobalCheck’s solution is distinguished by its use of multi-bureau identification verification, modernising how affordability checks are conducted while ensuring leading match rates.
GlobalCheck CEO Alastair Graham said: “These new regulations emphasise the crucial role of robust affordability checks within the iGaming industry. Our GlobalCheck team understands the delicate balance of maintaining compliance without disrupting the user journey. Our multi-bureau identification with affordability ensures gaming companies can meet the new requirements without compromising the user experience.
“As iGaming companies face an increasingly complex and evolving regulatory landscape, GlobalCheck remains committed to being at the forefront of the industry, providing the essential tools compliance teams need to operate confidently and efficiently in regulated markets worldwide.”
GlobalCheck’s approach consistently outperforms single-bureau solutions, providing operators with a more comprehensive understanding of players’ financial circumstances.
The integrated affordability checks are part of GlobalCheck’s comprehensive suite of global compliance services, specifically designed to meet stringent regulatory requirements worldwide.
