ZenSports expands payments offering to include Skrill

Skrill becomes first digital wallet available to global customers of innovative mobile peer-to-peer sports-betting brand
Skrill Ltd., a leading digital wallet provider and part of Paysafe Group (Paysafe), today announced a partnership with ZenSports, a mobile peer-to-peer sports-betting marketplace focusing on the international market. Under the deal, ZenSports has integrated the Skrill digital wallet, allowing customers to start making transactions with e-money.
Since launching in Q4 2018, ZenSports, which enables international bettors outside the United States to create real-money sports wagers to be accepted by other users within the brand’s mobile marketplace, has focused exclusively on cryptocurrency payments. Players previously making a deposit or cashing-out at the brand’s iOS and Android apps via Bitcoin, Ethereum or Litecoin can now choose to also make online transactions through the Skrill digital wallet, allowing them to upload or withdraw funds in a fiat currency of their choice.
The addition of Skrill, which supports over 40 fiat currencies and 18 languages, will complement the broad international focus of ZenSports. Players will also enjoy the ability to upload funds to their ZenSports account and receive payments on winning wagers in real-time. The digital wallet’s mobile-first development makes it a perfect payment method for ZenSports’ customer base.
The brand will benefit from Skrill’s well-established presence in the global sports-betting space and its long-standing payments partnerships with leading online sportsbooks. Skrill’s popularity among sports bettors worldwide will allow the digital wallet to support ZenSports’ marketing and promotional efforts in its target markets.
ZenSports’ customers will also benefit from the safety and security of paying using the Skrill digital wallet, which is regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority.
Lorenzo Pellegrino, CEO of Skrill Ltd., NETELLER, and Income Access at Paysafe, said: “We’re excited to partner with ZenSports to diversify the brand’s payments offering. The concept of peer-to-peer sports-betting is highly innovative, and we’re confident that ZenSports will enjoy strong growth with the support of our Skrill digital wallet and our long heritage in the sports-betting space.â€
Mark Thomas, Co-founder & CEO of ZenSports, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with Skrill to offer our customers a simple solution for depositing funds into their ZenSports account. When we were looking at different payment providers, it was critical for us to partner with an industry leader for payments in the gaming space, along with a product that was simple to integrate and that provides a clean user experience for our customers.”
