Epic Esports Events launch Dota 2 Champions League series

Epic Esports Events, together with GRID esports are happy to announce the first tournament of their new Dota 2 Champions League (D2CL) series.
With at least five events in the series planned, Dota 2 players & viewers can look forward to extensive content for Europe’s competitive scene.
GRID is supporting Epic Esports Events with data distribution of their events. GRID aims to ensure their data is securely distributed and will also be utilizing their data driven content via visual additions to the broadcasts across Epic’s own Russian broadcast, as well as TEBTV’s English broadcast.
The first tournament will be held online. The group stage will take place from 5 to 10 April, the finals are planned for 11–12 April. The total prize pool of the tournament is $25,000.
Open qualifiers will be held from April 3 to 4 on FACEIT.
The first tournament includes 20 teams. 15 of them have already received direct invitations to the tournament, the remaining 5 slots will be selected during the open qualifiers.
