The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has fined DraftKings for violating the self-exclusion rules.

DraftKings has to pay out penalties totalling $7000 to the gaming regulator and return $3277 to customers after failing to adhere to self-exclusion rules.

The regulator hit DraftKings with the maximum $5,000 civil penalty for taking wagers from customers who had requested a “cooling off” period be placed on their accounts.

DraftKings discovered an error within its systems in November 2018 whereby the “cooling off” period had been set to zero days. During the month in which the system was not correctly in place, 54 people who were not meant to be able to deposit were able to place bets totalling $28,887. They lost $3277, which DraftKings will now have to pay back.

New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has imposed a fine of $150k on online gambling companies for failing to comply with regulatory measures as per the licensing terms.

The gambling regulator slapped Scientific Games’ SG Digital division, which operates in New Jersey as NYX Digital Gaming a fine of total $110k for “deploying three games that were not the versions tested and approved,” and regulatory violations.

The William Hill Sports Book in partnership with the Ocean Casino Resort and Tropicana Atlantic City and Monmouth Park Racetrack was fined $26,500. The betting operator allowed 16 “self-excluded patrons to wager online.”

Poker Stars was fined $5000 for failure to “permanently record poker hand history data for 202 patrons for approximately two hours on April 30, the September complaint alleged.”

The gambling regulators were lenient with the operator as PokerStars self-reported the discrepancy.

iGaming Cloud was served an $11,000 fine. The operator had three individual complaints. It was fined $2000 for deploying an unapproved version of a game, $2000 for not furnishing slot tournament data after a system crash and fixing the crash without notifying the gambling regulator and $7000 for allowing players registered in the self-exclusion registry to create online accounts and place bets.

The Inter-Cantonal Lotteries and Betting Commission (Comlot) has expanded its list of unlicensed gambling operators with the addition of 10 more websites. As of now, the list has about 87 operators deemed illegal within Switzerland.

Bahigo178.com, Allsport365.com, Cryptobet.com and Coinbet24.com are among the latest addition to the blacklist. Three websites working under Forzza’s brand – Forzza1.com, Forzza2.com and Forzza3.com – are on the list, as have Runbet.com, Winx24.com and Solobet10.com.

The blacklist was first published in September 2019 after the implementation of the Federal Act on Real Money Gaming. This is the second time the regulator is updating this list since the last publication, which had 65 gambling operators from brands like Pinnacle, Interwetten, Betclic, Unibet and Everest Group.

Online slot developer Stakelogic has received a supplier licence from the UK Gambling Commission. Stakelogic’s full suite of classic and modern video slots are now available to licenced operators in the market. The news comes just weeks after Stakelogic received its Class 2 Gaming licence from the Romanian National Gambling Office.

To mark its arrival in the UK market, Stakelogic has created a run of online versions of the famous Reflex Gaming land-based slot games, including titles such as Lucky Mushrooms and Eureka Einstein Moments. The developer has also signed a licensing agreement with Big Time Gaming and recently launched its first MegawaysTM slot, Black Gold Megaways, which UK players can access for the first time.

“We are thrilled to have secured a supplier licence from the UK Gambling Commission just weeks after being granted a permit in Romania. We have already signed partnerships with a number of online gambling brands who will launch our games to UK players in the coming weeks. In anticipation of our UK licence, we have created a series of slots that will take Reflex Gaming’s popular land-based games online which we believe will be a big hit with players. We have also recently launched our first Megaways title which is proving to be a great success and which will undoubtedly appeal to UK players too. As we continue to secure licences in regulated markets and grow our game portfolio, Stakelogic aims to triple the revenue of our clients again in 2020,” Stephan van den Oetelaar, CEO of Stakelogic said.
